Cancer Related Antibodies

Our catalogue is primarily focussed on cancer research. We offer:

Recombinant antibodies

Monoclonal antibodies

Phospho-specific polyclonal antibodies.

All of our antibodies have undergone thorough quality control with the use of our proprietary Aeonian Rating® which acts as a quality standard. By referring to our rating you will get a better understanding of the antibody performance. Our Aeonian Rating® will see to it that no matter the cancer-related signalling pathway you may be interested in, you can rest assured that the antibodies meet the expectations in your application.

We offer antibodies based on selectivity: they do not cross-react to closely related non-targets. Part of our antibody range demonstrates selectivity by native protein array. These arrays contain genome-wide human proteins, including those closely related to the target. When the antibody strongly binds to the target and not to other members of the same protein family, selectivity of the antibody is established (see illustration). This adds value to the staining in IHC and ICC.

AE00264 on protein array
Specificity and selectivity of AE00264 to CDH1 were tested against >19,000 full-length human proteins on a human protein array. A protein BLAST search against H. sapiens revealed the following closely related other proteins: Cadherins 2 and 3. These were part of the array used and showed no cross-reactivity signals.
IHC of human breast carcinoma stained with CDH1 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody AE00264
AE00264 to CDH1 was successfully used to stain plasma membranes in human breast carcinoma sections. Recommended concentration: 0.3-1ug/ml

Part of our IHC range has been validated in Tissue MicroArray (category TVRA-Tissue microarray-Validated Recombinant Antibodies). They confirm specific signals in the correct tissues, and in the correct cancer types. Furthermore, they confirm the lack of signals in tissues and cancer types where no signal is expected! These products come with tables to summarise the tissue microarray results (see illustration).

IHC of human oncocytoma stained with CDH16 Rabbit Recombinant Antibody AE00345
AE00345 to CDH16 was successfully used to stain membranes in epithelial cells of convoluted tubules (very strong in distal ones) in human healthy kidney sections, and membranes of oncocytoma and renal carcinoma sections. Recommended concentration: 1-3ug/ml.
Cancer Tissue MicroArray IHC signals from AE00345 to CDH16.

We offer a select group of functional recombinant antibodies that either inhibit or stimulate signalling. See illustration

ICC of Jurkat stained with CD137 Rabbit Recombinant Antibody AE00311
AE00311 to CD137 was successfully used to stain the cellular surface of cell line Jurkat. Recommended concentration: 10 ug/ml.
Biological activity of AE00311 to CD137 on lymphocytes and monocytes.
