We are releasing recombinant antibody versions of classic hybridoma clones. These clones have been used successfully for decades and left a trail of publications. Now that the variable regions of these antibodies have been sequenced, they are now chemically and physically defined by them. This makes them as reliable as a chemical reagent.
The recombinant versions guarantee consistency in performance over time as they are no longer dependent on the maintenance of the original hybridoma. They are produced by a cell line instead.
The IgG1 isotypes from mouse and rat have been optimised for strong binding to Protein A for cost-effective purification.
